Mike Casswell

Mike, who was Phil Williams' colleague in Walk On Fire, came to see Saiichi's gigs and ended up joining the band alongside Phil and Andy (Smith). Mike's articulate and atmospheric guitar style formed a contrast with Saiichi's bluesy guitar and provided a perfect foil. Mike's fretwork is immediately identifiable on Saiichi's album.

Born in 1963, Mike toured and recorded with Wang Chung, The Brian May Band, Cozy Powell, and Walk On Fire. Mike was also signed to RCA America as part of a duo called Hereos, in the mid to late '80s. Mike was a principal member and songwriter of the last Cozy Powell Band prior to Cozy's untimely death, and the album featuring Mike's music was released posthumously.
